Jeff has been photographing the "Last Great Race - The Iditarod" since 1981 and has been the Iditarod Trail Committee's official race photographer since 1982. Jeff's Iditarod sled dog photo files are the largest in the world and include over 25,000 images - All the mushers, all the sled dogs, all the checkpoints, all the conditions.
Jeff photographs the Iditarod sled dog race on assignment as well as for his
Alaska Stock Images photo stock agency. Jeff's Iditarod photography work is featured in 4 books on the Iditarod: "Iditarod the Great Race to Nome" (Sasquatch Books), "Iditarod Silver" The 25th anniversary book (Epicenter Press), "Iditarod Country" (Epicenter Press), and "Dogs of the Iditarod" which he also wrote (Sasquatch Books).
