It’s Sunday morning. I forgot about the time change, but no worry, the sun will be up at its usual time. It’s warm here in Kaltag, light snow. Shot some early morning stuff. Nice and quiet out there. Not much press, which is what I like. Will spend much of today here I imagine, though not much musher action for a while.

Great capture of the serenity of the checkpoint in the early morn hours. Thank you for showing it all…Comms working, vet crashed for whatever sleep they can get and mushers so tired they are happy for a hard table surface without a mind as to whether they have a sleeping bag or pad underneath. It transports me back to the trail. I can feel it.
