Tuesday March 12, 2013— Elim, Alaska — It’s clear crisp day here in Elim. 0 degrees this morning. I like the shots I got this morning of Pete Kaiser leaving and was blessed to have someone loan me a sno-go to get around. Elim is a beautiful place and I got to see my friend from here Maurice Ivanoff last night. I was shooting till the sun went down, Erin working hard on getting images online. Several teams should be leaving this morning and with a sno-go, I hope to get out onto the sea ice to shoot back towards the cliffs of Elim. Always a pretty place. The race is really shaping up to be a “race”. Not a runaway thing. I’m happy to see that. We’ll hopefully be off for White Mountain later, and then Nome at the end of the day.
