I think there is something way intriguing about the moon and stars. For me, it’s a wonderful experience to be out at dusk, dark and dawn as they fill the sky. Recently I was driving on the Seward Highway at dusk as a crescent moon was setting, with beautiful reflection off of Turnagain Arm. I just had to stop and shoot a couple scenes. These were all taken over the course of 45 minutes. I used a split-neutral density filter in order to avoid having the moon overexposed and still get some detail in the mountains.
