I’ve been driving around the Anchorage municipality area a lot lately, scouting for new locations to make photos which show off the beauty of this place many of us call home. I’m doing this for my newest project— an annual Anchorage calendar. The Eagle River area is a fantastic place. Lots of big mountain peaks in a glacier-carved valley. I found this spot which I think really shows off that beauty and I was fortunate to be there at dusk when the alpenglow lit up the mountains. And not too long after the sun went down, the moon began to glow behind some clouds as it rose over the mountains.
Take a look at the photos for the 2016 calendar here and consider backing the project in exchange for copies of the calendar.
