The mushers have reached Manley Hot Springs. This is their second checkpoint for the 2015 Iditarod. This is the last checkpoint on the road system. They are mushing through sub-zero temperatures today and last night to get here. Despite the cold weather, the dogs are still running with enthusiasm. The Manley Hot Springs community is doing all they can to support the teams and volunteers. Some have opened their homes and the Gladys Dart School has opened their doors for sleep, food, and internet access (for which we are grateful!!!) for mushers and volunteers alike.
Next stop for the teams and us, is Tanana.
