Report from Previous Bears, Glaciers and Fall Colors Workshop and Tours
Participants Experiences During the Workshop and Tour
Everything was very well organized (coming from a Swiss person, this means a lot!). We were able to get as much out of this tour as possible without wasting much time sitting around waiting for the instructor or being at the wrong place / wrong time etc.. – we really appreciated that Jeff let us use so much of his equipment, including cameras / lenses / filters / tripods etc. We didn’t expect that, and it certainly was an added value for us (I loved the 5D camera!). – had a lot of fun on the trip and were happy with the pictures we took. I think the pictures I took during that photo tour were better than the ones I took during our first week in Alaska, when we were travelling around by ourselves.
The on the job/spot pointers was really excellent. The open helicopter door to take aerial photos on the way to Knik/colony glacier was incredible. The numerous stops along the Glenn Highway and other roads to take photos was really great. There so many more best aspects that l can name.
This is one of the most exciting photography tours that l have attended. Jeff is absolute in every aspect of this wonderful tour. The attention to detail was incredible. He went more than the extra mile to ensure that all of us learnt and improve our photography skills as well as taking good shots. l took so many memorable shots that l can submit for competitions. Look no further if you want to go for a photography tour in Alaska.
This workshop is a very “hands on” photography tour. Having never been on this type of trip before, it was beyond my expectations. I guess I thought we would have been left to our own devices more often. I am grateful we weren’t . . . because my photographs never would have reached the level they did on the trip if I had been instructed and sent out of on my own. Jeff was always there with suggestions and advice.
