What first brought you to Alaska:
I first came to Alaska because my husband, John got a job in Anchorage as a chemistry teacher in the only high school at the time in Anchorage, Alaska. And I wanted to come for the adventure too.
How has Alaska captured your heart?
Well, I’d say that Alaska captured my heart because there was so many adventures that we had never dreamed of having and getting to know different people of course were wonderful in different aspects of our homesteading days, I’m thinking of a lot because I got to know our homestead neighbors and we depended on, or I depended on them a lot. Well, God first, but since we don’t have communication in those days, I depended on God. So there was many times when… And he always, the Lord always came through for me.
Describe just one of your favorite “Best Days” or “Most memorable experiences” in Alaska.
I really have many, many incidents to say that I’m still at awe that I am in Alaska.
What in Life do you know for sure?
What I know in life for sure is that I know where I’ll spend eternity the rest of my life or a new life when I get to be with the Lord, Jesus, my savior. And before that, I’m getting prepared for that great adventure with him forever.
